How specifications are agreed, how goods are inspected, and what documentation travels with your container.
Specification before price
We do not quote against a product name. “300 thread count sheet set” and “500 gsm towel” describe almost nothing on their own, and a quotation built on them is a quotation you will be renegotiating later.
Every order begins with a written specification sheet covering the parameters that actually determine cost and performance:

That sheet is attached to the proforma invoice and becomes the reference for inspection. It is also what makes your third reorder match your first.
Inspection
In-line checks. Production is checked at the loom, the filling line or the converting line rather than only at the end, so a drifting parameter is caught while it is still correctable.
Pre-shipment AQL inspection. Every consignment is inspected to ISO 2859-1 sampling with an agreed AQL level — normally 2.5 for major defects and 4.0 for minor. You receive the inspection report with photographs before the container is sealed.
Third-party inspection. If you want SGS, Bureau Veritas, Intertek or your own agent to inspect, we arrange access and schedule production around their availability. We would rather you did than took our word for it.
Retained samples. A sealed reference sample from every order is kept for two years. This is what makes a colour match on a reorder possible rather than approximate.
Testing
Testing is carried out at NABL-accredited laboratories, with reports issued per lot where the product or the destination market requires it:
- Textiles — colour fastness to washing, rubbing and light; dimensional stability after wash; tensile and tear strength; pH of aqueous extract; absorbency
- Toiletries — accelerated stability, preservative challenge testing, pH, viscosity, microbiological limits, heavy metals
- Tissue — GSM, brightness, tensile strength (dry and wet), moisture content, softness
Compliance and certification
What a container needs to clear depends entirely on where it is going. We prepare the set your market requires, and we tell you at quotation stage what that set will be:
- Cosmetics — EU CPNP notification and Responsible Person, UK SCPN, GCC registration, product information file, safety assessment
- Textiles — OEKO-TEX Standard 100 where specified, GOTS for certified organic cotton, restricted substances list compliance
- Tissue — FSC or PEFC chain of custody where specified, food-contact certification for napkins
- General — certificate of origin, GSP or FTA preference certificates where applicable, fumigation certificate for wooden packaging (ISPM 15), MSDS and non-hazardous declaration for incense
Documentation
Every shipment travels with a complete set: commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading or air waybill, certificate of origin, inspection report, and the market-specific certificates above. Drafts go to you for approval before originals are issued, so an error is caught in an email rather than at a customs desk.
If something goes wrong
It occasionally does. Our position is that a claim is settled on the facts and settled quickly. Send photographs and the affected batch numbers; we cross-reference against our retained sample and inspection report, and we come back with a resolution — replacement, credit or reprocessing — rather than a dispute.
